Welcome to the First Seder Bais Medrash Program
Introducing the "First Seder" Bais Medrash learning program at the Philadelphia Community Kollel.
Beginning in September of 2012, Philadelphia area men of all ages can enjoy a robust Bais Medrash environment that caters to a broad audience. First Seder is held at the Philadelphia Community Kollel on Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, with a variety of options that allow for many scheduling limitations and combinations.
The program covers a diverse range of intriguing Torah topics and features easy-to-follow interactive shiurim delivered by experienced, dynamic lecturers. Program participants can also choose to learn the Gemara topics covered by the shiurim with their own chavrusa (study partner) in an interactive environment.
First Seder is the brainchild of Rabbi Uri Yehuda Greenspan, a longtime Lower Merion resident and distinguished member of the Philadelphia Community Kollel. Rabbi Greenspan sees it as his mission to spread the positive message of Torah and mitzvos to those not in a traditional full-time Yeshiva or Kollel environment.
A natural teacher, Rabbi Greenspan's broad Torah knowledge and warm, enthusiastic persona have inspired countless Jews of all ages for over a decade. In addition to directing and delivering daily shiurim at First Seder, Rabbi Greenspan is a lecturer for the renowned Dirshu International learning program and a beloved Halacha and Navi teacher at the local Kosloff Torah Academy High School.
First Seder is located at the
